- Any MDT chassis that uses the XTN interface
- NOT AR compatible
- For Ruger American chassis, to ensure the bolt handle does not interfere with the buttstock when folded, you must either:
- reverse the folding adapter so that it folds on the non-bolt side of the chassis, or
- flip the folding adapter so that the top button is on the underside of the folding mechanism and the long adapter is inserted into the buttstock skeleton
- For left-handed chassis, you must reverse the folding adapter so that it folds on the left-hand side of the chassis to ensure it will fold over the bolt handle.
- If using an LSS GEN3 with the Short XTN Interface, you may need to reverse the folding adapter so that it folds on the non-bolt side of the chassis to ensure the bolt handle does not interfere with the buttstock when folded.

This is a great folding stock. It has all the needed adjustment and make setting up the rifle easy for any shooter. It covers all of the needed adjustments and is quick and easy. I especially like that the stock when folded over covers and protects the bolt handle. It locks up tight when folded and it also locks up tight when opened to full length. I have used this stock on two of my ELR rifles now. The fit and finish is outstanding and I would recommend that you give this Chassis and Skeleton stock a try.

I recently built a 6.5 284 Norma for precision shooting and since I have two other MDT Chassis I don’t have far to look for this build. Except build quality, endless adjustability and solid lock up. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I'm a Huge fan of MDT. I currently have two XRS Chassis, one ESS Chassis, and HNT26 Chassis. I purchased the MDT SRS-XF - Skeleton Folding Rifle Stock for my ESS Chassis, and it works Great. It definitely would be Great addition to any fixed compatible MDT stock.

This is a wonderful butt stock. It has an amazing range of adjustability as well as being able to remove the action bolt without having to lower the cheek rest. This butt stock is so much sturdier than I had expected from a folding stock. When locked into position it is just as straight and strong as any non-folding stock. And absolutely zero play. This to me is the best adjustable system I've yet seen. Fitting it to the chassis isn't hard to do, just take your time. Once installed it is rock solid. It's also a pretty sweet deal that the needed T-Handle Allen Wrench is included. It's great that they do that. One less thing to put on your to buy list when choosing you stock. Amazing quality with common sense design and the tool to put it together. The they did it back when I was a kid and believe me that was a very long time ago. The finished product is perfect in every way. MDT seems to take extra care in the production of their products and it is very obvious their goal is perfection. Now that is above and beyond by anybody's standards. Once the build is complete I will post some high res pictures. A short note. This build has been quite the enjoyable project. Watching it morph from a bunch of parts to this fine tuned Precision tool.

Tight rigid folding chassis with quick easy adjustments. Excellent product. Only complaint is the high cost. Wish it came standard on chassis, or give me the option to add it when purchasing for additional cost like MPA chassis.

The folding stock is far better, allowing you
to keep the check riser setting when cleaning
the weapon, instead of needing to lower it
to insert the bore guide.

Awesome product, works great on my large magnum switch barrel. Folding stock is wicked for cleaning and storing a 30" barrel rifle. Only gave 3 stars because I think it should have been made with a second bar to help secure the top of the butt pad to the stock. That flex there causes the adjustment dial to come loose and extra stress on the single bar on the bottom.

The wrench provided hardly fit in the allen screw and it took me 25 minutes, a ford f350, and tow rope to pull it out of the screw head. Then after I got it out the side of the stock was all chewed to shit due to the wrench scratching on the side.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and experience. The folder will need to be positioned to expose the head of the screw and then the wrench inserted at an angle so it doesn't bind or scratch the finish. If you could reply to this message with more details of the installation we would be happy to help further with your build.

I’m a 700 guy with all 3 of my Rifles sitting in ESS Full Rail Chassis Systems. Each live in Hard Cases or get transported in Bags during Matches. One big requirement I have is the Folding Stock that goes to the right as one that folds left would increase the width of the Rifle and not capture the Bolt. The lockup is 110% solid in either position. When folded, it cuts down on required space for storage when in their cases or the safe. Saves me a bit of room, it’s comfy, and it’s rock solid. What’s there not to love. I bought 3 of them in order to keep all 3 rifles continuous between each other. The system of 100% continuity has worked perfectly in no small part due to MDT and their products.
