MDT 10-round magazines are approximately ¾” shorter in height than standard AICS 10-round magazines due to MDT’s unique Double Stack to Single Feed (DSSF) transition design, allowing easier mag changes when shooting prone.
10-round magazine includes 2 internal ribs that help reduce friction between the cartridge and magazine body and provide a smooth transition from a double stack to single feed at the top of the magazine.
COMPATIBILITY
These magazines will need to be slightly modified to function with Howa 1500 SA rifles.

- The magazines with front binder plates are compatible with all rifles equipped with AICS-pattern bottom metal or chassis systems. The binder plate holds the cartridges back from the front of the magazines and guides them past the bottom of the feed ramp. The maximum cartridge overall length (COAL) that will fit in this magazine is 2.870”.
- The magazines without front binder plates allow a maximum cartridge overall length of 2.960”. These are compatible with all AICS-pattern bottom metal and chassis systems, but most common actions such as Remington 700 and Savage 10/11 will require modifications to the receiver (i.e. notching out the bottom of the feed ramp) to prevent the bullet tips from catching on the bottom of the feed ramp.

It worked on a Ruger Adapter from standard Ruger staggered Mag to Magazing, I had to put a little Marine tex on it to keep it from going too far into the Mag well , Probably no Fault of MDT , But i does work fine in the other rifle 308 modified with a mdt stock to get rid of the BDL in a rem 700, It works fine also

I purchased originally the mag with the plate and decided to return it and get the version without the plate so I could increase my casings over all length. They were extremely helpful and helped make the switch. Both mags were great quality and work great with my ESS Chasis for a Tikka T3x 6.5 Creedmoore.

I love my chassis. This turned a plain 308 into my favorite gun I own. Very sturdy. Heavier than I expected, but that’s ok.

Down in South Africa so still waiting on my barreled action to be licensed and shipped to allow everything to be put together, but build quality on the xrs is great, has all the rails and features I think I could need. Also very light, cant wait to take it on a hunt!

Revised load COAL was longer than my mags with binder. The new ones don’t have the binder and worked great with the longer loads.

Your product is a lifesaver. The Magpul mags that came with the Weatherby rifle were total POS. The VERY small and shallow notch on the plastic mags wears down after only 10 or less insertions. Then, the mags drop from the rifle on recoil. Making a tiny PLASTIC notch that engages a METAL mag catch is asinine. Your product is top quality, and I have already reordered another.
