300WM MDT Metal Magazine - 5 Round

The 300WM MDT5 Round Metal Magazine works exceptionally well with my 6.5-284 Savage 110 Predator rifle ever since I installed the new MDT Field Stock. In fact in functions much easier and smoother than the factory magazine and is 10x more robust.

Awesome oversized magazine for the 300 WM I have it in. Allows for larger than normal reloading.
Cycles perfectly. No issues to date.

Spring is very stiff and the cartridge guide "fingers" are pretty sharp. So it is a bit challenging to load to capacity and unadvisable to do so. Unmodified this is more like a 3-capacity mag at max; if I load any more into it it gouges material off the case as the cartridge comes out, stiff spring and sharp edges combine to do a number on the brass (tough to photograph, uploading the best pic I got. Not the worst I saw before I started limiting to 3). I need to try filing some sled-runners into the leading edge, see if that fixes it.

The custom virtual meeting was helpful to confirm what I was ordering was what I needed and wanted. Also the product knowledge of the staff was incredible. These guys don't just sell their products they use them, test them and help in the design process. The installation of my action into the chassis was simple and quick. Then once I got it out in the woods and was able to confirm my point of impact was still on and less than .5 MOA.

I'm using the 3.850" length with my 6.5-284 and the mag catch gives the exact same engagement with all 3 magazines. I like having the identification on the back and bottom of the magazines as I am running other larger calibers through my Defiance switch barrel action. Using all 3.850" mags with different feed lips makes caliber changes easier.

With so many different confuratrations magazines its best to just call and consult the manufacturer and get the right pieces,Wasted a lot of time and money chasing down the correct size magazine to fit the MDT field stock 6.5 PRC. One call is all it took. Thx MDT.

I exchanged it for the 3.850” for my Christiansen arms model 23 7mm prc, it is absolutely the best! The quality of materials and functionality are flawless. Not enough can be said about MDT customer service, I have never been so impressed, I’m not just blowing smoke, I honestly cannot give the folks their enough credit for how quickly and professionally they treated me.

The magazine did not fit my rifle. My misunderstanding that it required the purchase of your stock. I returned the magazine.

Good magazine kinda spendy, needs broken in or modified to feed better.

Pretty good. The follower seems to be a one size fits all built for the shorter versions of the 300wm because it is a little loose and short but otherwise it's not bad. Has some binding up on the rounds about 10% off the time but I don't fault the mag I'm faulting the shoulder on the 7mm prc for that. Only have 55 rounds through my gun using this mag so not to much use on it yet.

Pricey but well made.

Hi Guys. Have quick question. I have tikka t3x in 6.5x55 SE. Does MDT mag with sku 103208-BLK will fit Oryx long action chassis for tikka t3x.

Fits just right with field stock. Feeds all types of grain differences with no issues.

Mag was purchased to be used in NRL Hunter event. It was used in inclement weather to shoot 8 stages without issue.

Fit perfectly on my Proof research 7 mm PRC, 3.715 5 RD. But the 3 rd 3.85 that have 7mm prc on the mag did not fit.

Nice steel

It feeds very rough but not every time. It feeds better if I run the bolt hard and fast. Slower results it bolt overs. It will not feed the last round at all. This is after instructions from customer service on how to tune the magazine. For the price I believe it should work without having to tune it.
