MDT 12-round magazines are approximately ¾” shorter in height than standard AICS 10-round magazines due to MDT’s unique Double Stack to Single Feed (DSSF) transition design, allowing easier mag changes when shooting prone.
12-round magazine includes 2 internal ribs that help reduce friction between the cartridge and magazine body and provide a smooth transition from a double stack to single feed at the top of the magazine.

Additionally, through testing, we have found that these magazines do not work out of the box with three lug actions. We have found you can make them work with some tweaking of the feed lips.

I’ve purchased 10 & 12 rd 6mm BR mags from MDT for my BRA. I’ve over 600 rds with them on a new barrel. I haven’t experienced a single feed failure. I definitely recommend them for 6mm BRAs.

Purchased the MDT 6 BR 12 round mags for my new build. It's a Lone Peak Fuzion action in a Foundation Centurion in 6mm BRA. At this point I have just over 200 round down the tube. My first 50 rounds was shot from a bench, getting zero and gathering data out to 600 yards. All the rest of my shooting was barricade practice simulating PRS style stages. At this point I've had 0 issues feeding so I'm certainly happy with this magazine.

Sharp edges at the lips, scratching the brass.
The scratching of brass is normal, as brass is a much softer material than the steel feedlips of the magazine.

I am about to purchase a couple of mags for my new Dasher. Using an ACC Elite Chassis and a Terminus Zeus action (3 lug). I read that when using a 3 lug, there might need to be some mods done to your mags. Is there any way you can send me instructions on how to perform these mods? Thank you.... Ot do you think they will run just fine out of the box?

One of the biggest complaints if heard in my PRS group is how difficult it is to get this mags reaching full capacity. I’ve experienced this as well. You can get it there but it’s not easy.
Recently at a PRS match one magazine only would accept 7 rounds then the follower would stop as if it was bound up. The day was windy but these mags have never been in the dirt or dropped. I worked the follower several times and was able to get the spring free and somewhat traveling correct. You make one of the best magazines I’ve used however they could always be better. At full capacity the magazine bulges… not sure if this is by design of excess stress. I just no this doesn’t occur with my AI mags equipped with round enhancement floor plate. Overall I’d definitely buy this product again. However I’d have definitely liked to know prior and others might want to be aware it won’t work with the new Coupe De Grâce action in MPA Matrix Pro PMR without removing and taking a significant amount of material off of the mag catch. It’s possible to get it to feed reliably… but not without a little work.

If you are having difficulties getting full capacity please remove the floor plate and trim down the feet on the underside of the follower to allow it to come down a little bit further. This is the best mag on the market for AICS style mags. It's shorter than the standard 10 round with base extension. I am able to use it for stages where I would have had to run an AW mag but now have the single feed reliability.
