MDTs ESS Scope Base Picatinny Rails are designed to make the mounting of your optics easier. They are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, then hard-anodized black for a durable finish. The underside of the rails are profiled to allow the rail to be mounted flush on the receiver and to match the geometry of the ejection port. These rails are designed with a 20 MOA incline providing additional elevation adjustment from your scope*. A recoil lug has been integrated in the underside rail profile on models where the actions design allows for this feature.

Way too tight with the full rail ESS front end had to do a lot of sanding and filling to get it to fit. Looks great though.

If you’re gonna go the ESS in the Full Rail setup, then this Base is a must if you’re going for a continuous fit. All 3 of my Rifles I’ve built have this Base and the Quality speaks for itself.

Fit on my remington 700 was flawless. No need for bedding. Next level quality. Also fit my ess chassis perfectly. When bore sighting my scope, I did not have to move the reticle at all. Perfect alignment. If you're looking for the best, this is it!

This is my second one. In this case a 700 Short Action Base. I went with MDT for my 700 Long Action Needs before this and how that turned out was nothing short of amazing. The Fit, Finish, and overall Quality of MDT, combine all of that with their Customer Service. I’m not done with my short action build quite yet as parts need to be swapped. Once done, I’ll have a 300 Win Mag as my long range precision match piece and my 22LR as my precision 22 trainer piece. Absolutely impressed.
