Quality is great. Beautiful piece. Threads all look to be chased following tap/die. Debur is excellent. Coating looks to be uniform. Fit to other components is tight.
For me, ergonomics are not so great. With my LSS-XL G2 chassis, MDT stocks/stock accessories increase minimum adjustable length of pull to the point where the chassis is nearly unusable without forcing shooter to be in an unusual, bladed position in order to find eyebox. I have three LSS-XL GEN 2 chassis. All three were purchased with short skeletonized stocks, and qty 3 carbine to fixed folding stock adapters. The folding stock adapters will never be used again, simply too long @ ~1.75". They are also very heavy. (very expensive paperweights). Recently, I ordered one carbine to fixed stock adapter @ ~3/4", hoping it would be an answer to shortening up the guns. Instead I ended up using pieces from the folding stock adapter to get them to fit as short as possible. See attached pictures of various setups, to help you decide what to purchase with your chassis.
For MDT, an adapter that does not add length, or the short skeltonized stock gaining ability to mount flush to the chassis would be ideal for those of us who do not need the long length of pull. FYI, the Oryx is damn near perfect.
