Team MDT - Highland Outdoors Precision Rifle Challenge - MDT Field Report

Team MDT had a stellar weekend at the Highland Outdoors Precision Rifle Challenge match, which was held at the Pro Shoot Range in Wales. As the first PRS European Pro Series match to be held in the U.K., competitors traveled from all over Europe to participate, setting a record for the highest attendance at a UK match!

Team MDT's Daniel and Rory Gibbons finished 2nd and 3rd, with Daniel clinching top International. Shooters with MDT Chassis Systems also won top Junior (Thomas Mougal), top Amateur (Steven Shorter), and top Senior (Julian Timms).

Dan and Rory finished second and third. Dan took 1st in Top International.

We caught up with MDT Team shooter and Highland Outdoors representative Ryan Charlton to discuss the match.

From Ryan, "Day one saw a tricky wind push competitors' skills to the limit whilst navigating a sporty course of fire! Day one ended with a skills stage gamble shoot, which made a significant contribution to the range staff's Christmas party fund!

Day two was uncharacteristically warm, with the Welsh summer making an early appearance and the previous day's wind making an appearance at times.

Overall, it was a great weekend. Many people from many countries took part in the spectacular venue, and the match had a real international flavor. The atmosphere was amazing; it encompassed everything good about our sport—friendly, Fair, and Competitive.

I'd encourage everyone to offer up their time to RO a match; it gives an opportunity to watch all of the shooters tackle a stage, and matches can't run without them."
