Team MDT - Andy Slade | Ryan Charlton | Rusty Ulmer - MDT Field Report

Team MDT had a great weekend with two 1st place podium wins and one win in the Open Light Category. Kicking it off, Andy Slade took 1st place at the 2024 Hornady Precision Rifle Challenge! The 2024 Hornady Precision Rifle Challenge was a PRS match held in Evanston, Wyoming. The match featured 19 challenging stages designed by George Gardner and Bryan Sikes of GA Precision.

Down in Clovis, New Mexico, MDT Shooter Rusty Ulmer took 3rd overall and 1st in the Open Light category in the 2024 Hunters Coalition, backed by Defiance Machine. The Hunters Coalition was an NRL Hunter event that catered to both individuals and teams. It was held 20 miles north of Clovis in the rugged high desert of Eastern, New Mexico.

Across the Atlantic Team MDT shooter Ryan Charlton took first place at the Paintmines Wood PR22 match. The persistent rain didn't dampen the spirits of the 30 competitors who tackled the tricky course of fire, featuring a mixture of man-made and natural props. Among the field were five lady shooters, setting a record for the highest number of ladies at a match. The top lady was Ryan's wife and MDT-supported shooter, Andrea Charlton.

We had a chance to catch up with Ryan for a quick interview. From Ryan, "It's always a fun day at Paintmines. The course is always fair but challenging. Constant rain helped us see what the tricky wind was up to, and being set in mature woodland, this type of wind cue was useful when shooting from sheltered positions on the firing line."
