Phoenix Barrel Burner and Rosedale Precision - Team MDT

Congratulations to Team MDT's Daniel Gibbons for winning the Precision Rifle Series UK "Phoenix Barrel Burner," held at Pro Shoot Firearms in Wales. Dan put in a dominant performance, dropping just ten shots all weekend in some harsh weather conditions, which featured heavy rain and strong winds. Daniels' brother Rory Gibbons finished 4th, with teammates Ryan Charlton and Joe Pask in 6th and 7th.

Joe and Ryan both spent time with some of the newer shooters in their squads, offering

assistance, advice, and loaning gear to ensure everyone hit as many targets as they could. Joe said, "One of the best things about squadding with newer shooters is seeing their confidence grow. Something as simple as confirming DOPE or offering a wind call, or positional advice can make a huge difference to the enjoyment of someone's day".

This result makes defending UK Champion Daniel the first UK shooter on 300 points for the season, putting him in a strong position to defend his title at the UK Finale in October. The team shooters in the UK and Ireland are now focusing their attention on the IPRF World Championships in Cameo – Best of luck, guys!
