CRUSH IT - Stage Timer

I absolutely love this timer. It’s been great. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to work on time management during the stage. Or if you just need a timer to help you.

This is basically the one and only stage self-timer to have at this point in time for competition rifle shooting disciplines. Everything else prior has been a repurposed kitchen or lab timer.

Every shooter needs a timer, and the CRUSH IT is the best!

Great timer. I could figure out the menu in 1min. The only criticism I have is minor, but it can be fixed very easy with a software tweak.

In the custom mode you have a Start Alert and 5 more Alert settings and within those you can change the amount of beeps and how fast/slow they beep. However you cannot change this on the "Start Alert". Its fixed at 3 beeps and fixed speed. I would have like to change the number of beeps or the length of them, but the options are not there.

My idea was to have a setup like this;
1 beep to start at 1:45 (why 3 beeps to start? Makes no sense)
2 beeps at 1:00
3 beeps at 30sec
4 beeps at 15sec

MDT Please fix this. Its just a software tweak. I'm not sure how your engineers missed this. if its a custom mode, let everything be custom.

If you shoot anything with a timed stage, PRs, nrl, f class, whatever, this will be a critical part of your system.

Really good timer. The screen is clear, sound is loud enough.

There isnt really any competition for this so i cannot be too harsh, but for the money, it could be better.

I ended up mounting it directly next to the grip, so i could activate it with my thumb. Had to get an aftermarket mount.

Things i would like to see in a V2:

-Better menu, or even better, ability to set it up in an app. The menu is quite cumbersome
-option to dim the screen
-remote button should be included or at least there should be an official one to purchase. No of the aftermarket ones work reliably
-actual speech alerts instead of just beeps, for example "30 seconds remaining" or "10,9,8 etc. "
-use a rechargeable battery and USB-C charging, or at least a battery with better life

Or better yet, just combine it with the send it level into 1 unit

With any new product there will always be room for improvement. The battery life and the difficulty changing batteries needs work. Changing the part time should be more straightforward and intuitive. In many matches, the part times can vary from 90 to 105 to 120 seconds from stage to stage. Not a simple preset with this timer. Also, while the timer is made to accept input from a pressure switch, this option is not included or offered by MDT. Trying to start the clock while holding a rifle and bag and tripod is ackward at best, if not impossible. I've found the timer most useful for practice rather than during competition.

Definitely a useful tool for PRS. When you buy MDT you get quality and also they have your back. Lost a few screws on my ACC ELITE and they were quick to answer and send me replacments free of charge. It's nice to have a company backup their products.

This is a must for anyone trying to not time out on stages. Or simply for any timed drill. It can be mounted almost anywhere any way if wanted with a few attachments or anyway on a pic rail as it comes with that mount. I LOVE all things MDT, they are rock solid and MDT literally has the best customer service on EARTH. Better than any company I have ever dealt with. Those are bold words too!!!

Great tool! Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband. He did need to purchase different scope rings to mount this, but that’s not a defect in the product , just something I had not taken into consideration. He finds it functional, easy to read, and easy to operate.
It arrived well packaged and in a timely manner.

Love the timer! But you really needed to somehow make it BlueTooth. I have watched the video a few times it's just not that intuitive to program. Lots of features but that just makes navigating through all the menus with one button nightmarish.

I like it but it is just priced too high

Great timer, love the ability to customize each setting, tone and time. I do wish they went with a better battery solution (which I know they wanted to keep the same as the sendit level, but I think they should just offer a combined unit anyway). But those two aside, it's a great unit but $$$

I am impressed with its size and how easy it is to operate.

Expensive but really useful at a match

Since the release of this timer, I’ve heard people say it’s expensive. I’m here to tell you it’s worth every single penny. This is an invaluable piece of kit for training and competition. With multiple modes, settings, tones and positions, this timer gives you every conceivable scenario that any match course of fire would throw at you. Feeling rushed or not knowing how much time you have in a stage, make that last 5 seconds count and get that impact.
Brilliant product and very well thought out and designed.

The pressure switches on the market are cheap and just not sensitive enough to work with this timer. In order to find value with this timer, it has to be operated easily with one hand. Until a good solution is presented it will just be something attached to my rifle and not getting used. This timer has huge potential if you guys could get a convenient, consistent switch developed.

I’ve used the timer in a couple of matches and find it useful. I’ve found it actually helps me slow down and focus on making batter shots.

This is a great product. It really helps me slow down and take more time shooting stages.

I came from a talking timer that wasn't loud enough and talked to much. It kinda annoyed me.
This crush it timer can be programmed so it beeps when you want it to which is amazing. It will help your stage tempo so you can speed up half way if you are behind or slow down if you are more than half way through a stage when it beeps.
