TEAM MDT: Frostbite, Slovakia and Green Mountain
Over the weekend, the annual MDT Frostbite PRS match took place in Butlerville, Indiana. The competition was fierce, with only one or two points separating the winners. Team MDT shooter Rusty Ulmer secured 3rd place and Top Senior, while teammate Francis Colon claimed 5th place. Other notable finishes included Chad Heckler as Top Tactical, Gage Caples as Top Junior, and JP Noel as Top International. Inside MDT writer Aaron Martin took 2nd in the Sportsman Division.

Meanwhile, across the pond in Wales, the MDT Frostbite European PRS Pro Series match was held on Saturday and Sunday. Despite wet and windy conditions, Team MDT shooters—and brothers—Rory and Daniel Gibbons finished strong, securing 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Supported shooters Dean Farrell and Shane Conlon also put in solid performances, finishing 6th and 8th.
Rory Gibbons took 2nd place.
Rory reflected on the match, stating: "Day one gave us some sunshine and consistent winds, but day two brought the heavy rain and wind that had been forecasted, making for a very challenging match. The conditions became so extreme that we all left the range to seek shelter for the trophy presentation."

Over in Cachtice, Slovakia, MDT-supported shooter Vincent "Vin" Muehlleitner finished 5th overall. Vincent shared his thoughts on the match: "I can only say this was probably the best-balanced matchbook that Jan has ever put together. It was incredibly close between the top shooters, and in the end, the mental game was what made the difference. Every stage was challenging yet cleanable if executed perfectly. After Day 1, the top eight shooters—out of about 60—were separated by just three points (7–10 misses). On Day 2, the stages spread the scores out a bit, but competition at the top remained tight."

In Fairfax, Vermont, MDT-supported shooters Dory Lee and Kolan Gilmour competed in the Green Mountain Jet PRS Rimfire match. Dory secured 2nd place and Top Lady, while Kolan took 3rd.

Reflecting on the match, Dory said: "It was an interesting match, especially coming right after a snowstorm. The match director told us that setting up targets was difficult, with 4–5 feet of snow on the ground. Despite that, he managed to set up targets ranging from 32 to 434 yards. My favorite stage was the long-distance troop line. It was shot off a bench, but since we were shooting over an open range covered in snow, there were no visible wind indicators. You had to predict your wind hold based on your last shot. Many shooters struggled, averaging 7/12 hits. I watched the competitors before me, and, using my impacts (and one miss), I was able to start the day strong with an 11/12!"
