Mountain Forged Core Production Rifle

Mountain Forged Core Production Rifle

Matt Alwine is a prodigious competitive shooter, having won the NRL Hunter Grand Slam five times, the sport's cumulative championship match. Not only that, but he is also a highly respected Western hunter, archer, instructor, and now, rifle designer. Mountain Forged is more than just a custom rifle company; it is the culmination of a dedicated ethos and an obsession with detail, creating some of the best mountain hunting and production-level competition rifles on the market.

MOUNTAIN FORGED

Mountain Forged stands at the intersection of world-class marksmanship and backcountry hunting expertise. Founded by champion shooters who have a passion for precision, Mountain Forged merged unparalleled shooting skills with a lifetime of wilderness experience. Their mission is clear: to empower hunters with the cutting-edge technology, knowledge, and gear needed to become exceptional marksmen, making every hunter a better shooter. That ethos and belief are evident in the rifles they manufacture, offering options for both hunters and competitive shooters.

PRODUCTION RIFLES

Not only is Matt Alwine known for his skill in NRL Hunter, but he is also a top competitor in PRS through the Production Division. In 2024, while shooting for Team Savage, Alwine finished in the 2024 PRS Finale at Mountain Home, Idaho. His runner-up finish is the highest placing for a production division shooter at the PRS Finale. Of course, he was also the top Production shooter for 2024. That passion has led to the creation of the Mountain Forged Core Production Rifle.

For those wanting to shoot a custom rifle in the PRS production division, in collaboration with Matt Alwine, a three-time production champion, Mountain Forged presents the Core Production Rifle. This rifle meets all production division standards and is available in the following calibers: 22 Creedmoor, 6 Dasher, 6GT, 6 Creedmoor, 25x47 Lapua, 25 Creedmoor, 6.5x47 Lapua, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308, and .223.

The rifle features Mountain Forged’s Core Action with a 75-degree bolt throw, a hand-lapped stainless-steel barrel, and a trigger that is adjustable down to a pound. All of this is housed in an MDT ACC Premier Gen2 chassis. Together, these elements create a capable production division gun that bears Matt Alwine’s stamp of approval.
