Chris Parkin Shooting Sports: CZ 600 MDT Review

Chris Parkin Shooting Sports gave his first impressions of the new CZ 600 MDT in .308 as an entry point PRS Rifle on his YouTube channel. Starting off, Mr. Parkin removed his CZ 600 from its hard shell case and listed the specs of the 60-degree throw bolt while he installed it in the rifle's action and mentioned its smoothness. He then measures the length of his rifle at 24.25 Inches with all of the included stock spacers installed on the stock.

The threaded barrel on the CZ 600 has an M18 thread for muzzle devices, and the MDT chassis has a full-length ARCA rail, which offers maximum customization. Chris' rifle weighs just over 11 lbs with the un-loaded 10-round AICS magazine installed. Chris measures the trigger included with his CZ 600 at 1 lb of pull weight from the factory. The trigger can be adjusted via an easily accessible screw in the trigger guard. Behind the trigger is a rubberized pistol grip mounted to the chassis, which is replaceable with AR-15-style grips and allows for a multitude of customization options.

After a brief tech overview, Chris says he likes the grey cerakote finish of the CZ 600, as well as its large trigger guard and remarkably smooth action. Chris also adjusts the cheek riser on the MDT chassis' stock and notes the inclusion of an M-LOK slot on the bottom, which can host a monopod. The host plans on using this rifle for competition shooting and adding various attachments to optimize his experience by taking advantage of the MDT chassis' options mounting capabilities.

Providing final thoughts, Mr. Parkin reiterates his appreciation for CZ's cold hammer forged barrels, consistency, and accuracy guarantee. The CZ 600 MDT in .308 is available in Europe and North America.
