BADROCK South Fork Elite Rifle

BADROCK South Fork Elite Rifle

Shooters entering PRS have two options: buy a factory "off-the-shelf" rifle, such as a Ruger Precision Rifle, or pursue the custom route, like one from ICE Rifles or Short Actions Customs. Several "in-between" rifles are also available, including the Daniel Defense Delta 5, the Bergara Premier Series, and the Savage Arms 110 Elite Precision. These rifles are designed to max out the Production Division category. But what if someone wanted the feel and function of a custom rifle without a price tag approaching $7500? This is where a company like BadRock leverages years of precision rifle and manufacturing experience to deliver custom-like rifle performance at a more competitive price.

BadRock's website states, "The concept behind BedRock Rifles is to get an affordable, precision rifle, in the hands of shooters to bridge the gap between typical box store and high-end custom rifles." Since the company's inception, BadRock has lived and breathed this philosophy. Their rifles, featuring Defiance Machine Actions, TriggerTech Triggers, MDT Chassis, and barrels from renowned manufacturers like Proof Research, have consistently appeared atop podiums. Recently, BadRock elevated its offerings with the new South Fork Elite.

This model utilizes a Defiance Machine Ruckus action, a Proof Research Competition Barrel, a TriggerTech Diamond Trigger, an Area 419 Hellfire Muzzle Brake, and an MDT Elite Chassis. These components represent some of the best in today's PRS/NRL world (if you don't believe me, check out Cal Zant's Precision Rifle Blog "What the Pros Use" series). The best part is the price—$4,795. After a quick Google check, you can barely get the components for that amount, let alone have a gunsmith assemble the rifle, nitride it, chamber it in whatever caliber you want, and then verify it shoots accurately, all while offering a factory-like warranty for the end-user. There isn't a course of fire this rifle couldn't conquer. For shooters who take precision rifle shooting seriously and want a custom rifle, check out BadRock Rifles.
