MDT's Scope Base Picatinny Rails are a precise and reliable solution when it comes to mounting a scope on your bolt action rifle.

DETAILS

MDT’s Scope Base Picatinny Rails are designed to make the mounting of your optics easier. They are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, then hard-anodized black for a durable finish. The underside of the rails are profiled to allow the rail to be mounted flush on the receiver and to match the geometry of the ejection port. These rails are designed with a 40 MOA incline providing additional elevation adjustment from your scope*. A recoil lug has been integrated in the underside rail profile on models where the action’s design allows for this feature.

Big fan of these bases. The design, quality and availability makes these my go-to bases for all my Remington builds.

The lug that locks into the ejection port is a great design feature, reducing the rcoil stress on the screws. This feature is usually found only on custom militarty rifle bases like the ones used on the Army's M24, Marine M40s and McMillans, and some SOCOM and FBI HRT rifles.

The maching is first rate, no machine marks, fit on the receiver and specing is right-on, everything is level and spaced perfectly.

The availability of 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 MOA bases mean I can maximixe the cant to get the most out of my optics. This 40 MOA base is going on an M40-ish build. I used a 50 MOA rail on one of my wife's builds to compensate for an optic that when zeroed only have about 8 MILs of ajustment with a 20 MOA base. the added cant gave her rig another 15 MILs of adjustment, allowing her take that set-up out past 1400 yards, with adjustment to spare.

For a Bergara training rifle. Fits perfectly. 40 MOA is ideal for 300 yards. But forget about 50 yards.
