MDT’s Scope Base Picatinny Rails are designed to make the mounting of your optics easier. They are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, then hard-anodized black for a durable finish. The underside of the rails are profiled to allow the rail to be mounted flush on the receiver and to match the geometry of the ejection port. These rails are designed with a 20 MOA incline providing additional elevation adjustment from your scope*. A recoil lug has been integrated in the underside rail profile on models where the action’s design allows for this feature.

This is a junky scope base, and MDT’s customer service is horrible.
I ordered this scope base for my Bergara Premiere action. The front screw holes do not line up correctly, off by about 1/64”, making it impossible to start the screw front screw when the other 3 screws are in place. If that screw is started first, then the rear 3 holes are off. Horrible QA/QC. When I called customer service to have them send me a new and a return label for this one, they wanted me to take pictures and videos and write up an email to explain the problem, saying the issue would be reviewed before any replacements could be shipped, up to 2 weeks.

Exactly what I needed for my Ruger 10/22 to shoot 200-300 yards with the mounted Vortex Diamondback Tactical scope.

I bought two of these rails to use in combination with the MDT LED level. The fit is fine. My only problem was there are no printed specs for torque to the 11mm rail. I started off low at 18 in/lb. Tightened a couple and stripped another screw. That seemed awfully light torque to strip. Luckily I had #4-40x1/2 and the screw stripped not the rail. So... no harm no foul. I'd suggest starting out at 15 in/lb. There are 4 screws total, 2 fore and 2 aft so with loctite hopefully that is enough torque to hold things in place.
Once mounted the scope rings mounted just fine, the leveling process worked really well. I love the MDT LED level. I leveled the rail then aligned the scope to a plumb line. Now when I shoot targets I align the vertical scope line to a plumb line. This seems to be a more precise method than just leveling the mechanical rest. You know you are plumb.

Perfect fit on my Tikka T3 300WSM. I have not shot it yet, so we'll see how it holds up after a box of ammo. Fit and finish is very nice. I do not anticipate any issues. Right now it is mounted only with the screws and recoil lug, I'm contemplating bedding it, just not sure if the epoxy will bind to a Teflon finish.

I was a little hesitant on the price, but once the rail arrived it was evident that it was a quality, precision product and for me the cost was no longer an issue.
I don’t mind paying for quality, and quality was delivered.

Installed rail on new Winchester M70 short action. I love how the rail has a recoil lug! But, the M70 is tapped for the smaller screws and that's OK because a large and small set comes with the rail. However, the front screw (over the barrel} seems to bottom out against the barrel threads before torque value is reached.
