The Field Stock was designed to provide an affordable option for shooters looking to enhance their rifle’s performance. Its polymer and aluminum hybrid construction offers greater stiffness compared to factory stocks while simplifying the manufacturing process, allowing MDT to offer more inlets (18 as of this writing). With an adjustable length of pull—via spacers—and comb height, any shooter can get the proper fit, even when running tall rings or thermal optics. Increasing the modularity of the Field Stock are four M-Lok slots located on the bottom and both sides; the only complaint from KY Night Hunting is the need for a fifth slot closer to the magazine to create a better balance point when adding an Arca rail underneath. KY Night Hunting selected a Field Stock for the Ruger American Gen II, creating a perfect budget long-range and predator gun.
